Community Affair Working Livestock
Community members gather to work with cattle.
When it comes to working and branding cows, family, friends and neighbors work together to get the job done. This week鈥檚 Throwback Thursday celebrates this sense of community in a photograph taken by amateur photographer Robert Kisken.
Taken near Mobridge around the year 2000, men, women and children came together to work cattle and brand calves. Some hold the calves while others brand and administer shots. It is hard work, but can be fun when it becomes a community affair.
