Fall 2026 start date applications are open!
Internal applications to the nutrition and dietetics M.S. program open the second week of October 2025. Applications will not be accepted prior to Dec. 20, to allow applicants to include grades and GPA from the fall semester. The priority deadline for applications is the third Sunday in January of each year (Jan. 18, 2026). Priority applicants will be evaluated and notified of admission status by the fourth Monday in February (Feb. 23, 2026).
The applicant's decision is due March 15, 2026. Applications will be accepted through Aug. 1 of each year. Please note a spring or summer semester start is not available for the nutrition and dietetics M.S. program.

Program Acceptance
If the maximum enrollment of 20 students is reached, the website will be updated to indicate that application are being accepted to the waitlist.
If the number of unconditionally or conditionally accepted applicants is less than 20 by March 16, then:
- Applications will be accepted on a rolling, (first-come, first-served) basis with a final application deadline by Aug. 1 of each year for a fall semester start in the current year.
- Qualified applicants who meet eligibility and prerequisite course requirements will be conditionally accepted and notified as such by the nutrition and dietetics M.S. program director within two weeks of emailing in their application until the number of maximum (20) program slots are filled.
Unconditional Acceptance
Applicant meets all program eligibility and prerequisite courses to start the nutrition and dietetics M.S. program.
Conditional Acceptance
Program eligibility and prerequisite courses must be met by the timeframes indicated or students will not be allowed to start the nutrition and dietetics M.S. program. In this instance, students will be advised on the best course forward and may choose to apply to the nutrition and dietetics M.S. program in the future if requirements are met or may continue studies in the nutrition and dietetics (B.S.) program.
Waitlist
In this instance, 20 applicants have been unconditionally or conditionally accepted. Acceptance into the program is dependent on one of the 20 slots becoming available and the applicant meets program eligibility and prerequisite courses before the fall start date. Students are notified no later than the first week of fall courses. In this instance, students will be advised on the best course forward and may choose to apply to the nutrition and dietetics M.S. program in the future if requirements are met or may continue studies in the nutrition and dietetics (B.S.) program.
