Catherine Maddock of Redwood Falls, Minnesota, will present her BFA thesis exhibition at �ձ�av��Ƶ from Nov. 10-21. 

Maddock’s exhibition, “Happiness is the Key,” will include paintings, crotchet textiles, drawings and mixed media works. The exhibit shows how empathy is central to her process and design choices. 

A senior studio art major specializing in art education, Maddock is the daughter of Kerry and Melvin Maddock of Redwood Falls. She is a 2022 graduate of Redwood Valley High School. 

The public exhibition will be on view in the Ritz Gallery of Grove Hall at �ձ�av��Ƶ, located south of the University Student Union between Mathews and Brown residence halls. Admission is free. The Ritz Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed weekends and holidays). Parking is available in the student union parking lot. 

A public reception for Maddock will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the gallery.
