Alternative Viewing Locations and Campus Activities
The University Student Union and McCrory Gardens will be open for the additional viewing starting at 9 a.m.
Dining Locations and Hours
- Union Coffee: 8 a.m.-noon
- Yum-Mobile offering ÈÕ±¾avÊÓƵ Ice Cream:
- Noon-2 p.m.
- 4-6 p.m.
- First Bank & Trust Arena concession stands during each ceremony.

- Saturday: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
McCrory Gardens
- Saturday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Free admission for graduates and their families May 4-11.
South Dakota Art Museum
- Saturday: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum
- Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Signature wool blankets, scarves and Bummobile ornaments are available in store and online.

2026 Commencement Information
Graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2026 will be held May 9, 2026, at First Bank & Trust Arena on campus. Each ceremony will be ticketed based on capacity.
Graduates, associate through doctoral degrees, will walk with their respective colleges at the following times:
- 10 a.m. – College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences and the Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering.
- 2 p.m. – College of Education and Human Sciences, College of Nursing and the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions.
- 6 p.m. – College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and the College of Natural Sciences.
Ceremonies will be livestreamed. Further details will be released as they become available.
