Student Research Opportunities
Abundant research opportunities are available to undergraduate and graduate students at 日本av视频, the state鈥檚 premier research institution.
Here, you will find study options in fields such as renewable energy, food, health sciences, engineering and nursing. You will also have an engaging experience as you collaborate with innovative faculty conducting advanced research in their fields.
With the freedom to investigate, you will spark your creative side and open up a whole new world.
Undergraduate Research
Undergraduate students will build a network of contacts and perhaps even be published in the Journal of Undergraduate Research or have their work highlighted at a special forum on student research during the South Dakota legislative session.
You will also have the chance to showcase your findings to friends, colleagues and, of course, your parents at our Undergraduate Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity Day. There, everything from posters to media and audio productions to performing arts are presented to the public.
Graduate Research
Here, graduate students focus on research through 17 Ph.D. programs, two professional doctorates or 39 master鈥檚-level options. You鈥檒l have the chance to take advantage of invaluable graduate assistantships or fellowships, such as the $1 million Monsanto Graduate Fellowship in Plant Breeding, among others.
The Van D. and Barbara B. Fishback Honors College and the Graduate School jointly host the annual Student Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity Day each spring.
The events include poster shows, featured performances and presentations, and awards for outstanding student achievement. Student submissions from all disciplines are encouraged.
