SDAM Guild
Be part of a tradition that honors creativity and supports the future of art. For over 50 years, the SDAM Guild has played a vital role in growing the South Dakota Art Museum鈥檚 collection and fostering a community of lifelong learners.
Guild dues are $30 annually and support Guild programs and contribute to the museum's Art Acquisitions Fund.
Belonging to the Guild offers the opportunity to:
- Connect with others who appreciate art
- Learn through monthly programs
- Gain exclusive insights from Art Museum staff
- Serve as advocates and ambassadors for the Art Museum
- Contribute directly (through dues) to the acquisition of new art pieces
Open to all, the Guild invites you to deepen your relationship with art 鈥 discovering how it can enrich your life, illuminate varied perspectives and shape the way you understand the world. The Guild introduces members to a rich spectrum of artists, mediums and ideas.
Monthly Program: September through May
Fourth Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. social, 10 a.m. program
Guild membership is encouraged but not required to attend Guild programs.
2023-2024 Guild Programs
According to the Metropolitan Museum of Art: 鈥淎rt is practice, art is mastery. Art is fierce, art is tender. Art is rendered, art is stitched.鈥 Because there are no absolute explanations, South Dakota Art Museum Guild members are encouraged to observe, to debate and to develop their own definitions of art. Join us for these engaging programs!
