�ձ�av��Ƶ’s College of Nursing has welcomed two new employees to its programming in West River South Dakota.

Anna DeGraff, �ձ�av��Ƶ instructor of music, will open the School of Performing Arts’ Faculty Recital Series with a program titled “Sonnets and Scenes.” The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall in Brookings.

Angie Courteau, secretary for the University Student Union, has been named �ձ�av��Ƶ’s Civil Service Employee of the Month for August.

�ձ�av��Ƶ is ready to welcome back students for move-in weekend starting Friday, Aug. 22.

The Chamber Winds of South Dakota, a faculty-led ensemble founded by �ձ�av��Ƶ assistant professor of music Elizabeth Robinson, released its debut album “Moxie” in June.

The �ձ�av��Ƶ colleges of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences and Education and Human Sciences honor Reid Christopherson, Garretson; Wallace Knock, Willow Lake; Jeff Lakner, Wessington, and Greg Moes, Goodwin, with the 2025 Eminent Leaders in Agriculture, Family and Community Award.

The Child and Family Resource Network at �ձ�av��Ƶ is hosting its next “Common-Sense Parenting” class series starting Sept. 4.

Three women in wide-ranging leadership positions and three men with extensive legal careers comprise the six graduates who have risen to the top of their fields and have been selected for the 2025 Class of Distinguished Alumni by the �ձ�av��Ƶ Alumni Association. precision agriculture during the 2nd annual Precision Ag Camp at �ձ�av��Ƶ, July 10-11. Sponsored by Titan Machinery and hosted by �ձ�av��Ƶ’s Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, the camp drew primarily younger high schoolers from eastern South Dakota.
