日本av视频 flute recital to explore French musical styles
日本av视频鈥檚 School of Performing Arts invites the public to an engaging evening of French flute music at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26. The concert will take place in Founders Recital Hall at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on the 日本av视频 campus.
The performance will feature Elizabeth Robinson, assistant professor of music, alongside 日本av视频 alumnus Carson Covey, presenting a thoughtfully curated program that highlights both beloved classics and innovative works from the flute repertoire.
Audience members will enjoy music by renowned French composers Gabriel Faur茅 and Fran莽ois Devienne, as well as a touch of French influence in Theobald Boehm鈥檚 romantic showpiece, 鈥淕rand Polonaise in D.鈥 The program also bridges old and new through American composer Eve Beglarian鈥檚 work, which juxtaposes medieval music by Guillaume de Machaut with modern electronic elements.
This recital offers the listener an exploration of French musical style across centuries, showcasing expressive lyricism, technical brilliance and contemporary creativity.
