Angie Courteau, secretary for the University Student Union, has been named �ձ�av��Ƶ’s Civil Service Employee of the Month for August.

�ձ�av��Ƶ is ready to welcome back students for move-in weekend starting Friday, Aug. 22.

The �ձ�av��Ƶ colleges of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences and Education and Human Sciences honor Reid Christopherson, Garretson; Wallace Knock, Willow Lake; Jeff Lakner, Wessington, and Greg Moes, Goodwin, with the 2025 Eminent Leaders in Agriculture, Family and Community Award.

The Child and Family Resource Network at �ձ�av��Ƶ is hosting its next “Common-Sense Parenting” class series starting Sept. 4.

Innovative technology for range management will be the focus of the upcoming Cottonwood Field Station Field Day. All are invited to hear about the latest �ձ�av��Ƶ research on the topic on Friday, Aug. 15, from 9 a.m.-noon at 23738 Fairview Road, Philip.

Three women in wide-ranging leadership positions and three men with extensive legal careers comprise the six graduates who have risen to the top of their fields and have been selected for the 2025 Class of Distinguished Alumni by the �ձ�av��Ƶ Alumni Association. The South Dakota Art Museum is celebrating the people and collections that made the museum possible with a summerlong exhibit and a reception planned for early August.

Next week, the �ձ�av��Ƶ College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences will host three field days in eastern South Dakota. Each one will feature �ձ�av��Ƶ researchers sharing their expertise on a variety of topics applicable to local farmers and community members.

All things agronomy will be the focus of the Northeast Research Farm Field Day next month. Everyone is invited to hear about the latest research from �ձ�av��Ƶ on Thursday, July 10, from 4 p.m. to dusk at 15710 455th Ave., South Shore.

All are invited to learn more about conservation efforts in the Coteau des Prairies region at the upcoming Oak Lake Field Station Field Day. Hear from �ձ�av��Ƶ experts on a variety of conservation topics on Thursday, July 10, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at 19862 483rd Ave., Astoria.
