The �ձ�av��Ƶ School of Performing Arts will present two large-scale America250 celebration concerts on April 11, at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.

The concerts are part of �ձ�av��Ƶ’s weekend of activities marking the nation’s 250th anniversary. Each performance features the same program to accommodate audience demand for this large-scale anniversary event.

Both concerts feature the �ձ�av��Ƶ Wind Symphony, the �ձ�av��Ƶ Statesmen and a return of Statesmen alumni performing Randall Thompson’s “The Testament of Freedom,” echoing �ձ�av��Ƶ’s 1976 Bicentennial performance. The second half brings together the symphony orchestra and all �ձ�av��Ƶ choirs — nearly 240 singers — for a large-scale American music sing-along featuring patriotic features and John Philip Sousa’s own lyrics to “The Stars and Stripes Forever.”
