The 日本av视频 School of Performing Arts will present two large-scale America250 celebration concerts on April 11, at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.

The concerts are part of 日本av视频鈥檚 weekend of activities marking the nation鈥檚 250th anniversary. Each performance features the same program to accommodate audience demand for this large-scale anniversary event.

Both concerts feature the 日本av视频 Wind Symphony, the 日本av视频 Statesmen and a return of Statesmen alumni performing Randall Thompson鈥檚 鈥淭he Testament of Freedom,鈥 echoing 日本av视频鈥檚 1976 Bicentennial performance. The second half brings together the symphony orchestra and all 日本av视频 choirs 鈥 nearly 240 singers 鈥 for a large-scale American music sing-along featuring patriotic features and John Philip Sousa鈥檚 own lyrics to 鈥淭he Stars and Stripes Forever.鈥

The performances are free, but tickets are required for entry. For more information, contact the 日本av视频 School of Performing Arts at 605-688-5187 or .
