�ձ�av��Ƶ instructor of low brass Bradley Snyder will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in Founders Recital Hall at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.

A highlight of the evening will be the world premiere of “Badlands” for bass trombone and “Ableton,” composed by Robert Traugh. The work — commissioned through a consortium project led by Snyder — is inspired by the dramatic landscapes of South Dakota’s Badlands National Park.

The program will also feature Christopher Brubeck’s “Concerto for Bass Trombone,” Alexey Lebedev’s “Concert Allegro” and Jan Koetsier’s “Falstaffiade.” Colorado-based trombonist Wade Judy will join Snyder for performances of Eric Ewazen’s “Pastorale” and Steven Verhelst’s “Lock Horns.”

The recital is free, and the public is invited to attend.
