Anna DeGraff, �ձ�av��Ƶ instructor of music, will open the School of Performing Arts’ Faculty Recital Series with a program titled “Sonnets and Scenes.” The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall in Brookings. 

DeGraff, a mezzo soprano, has organized a performance featuring music by 20th and 21st century composers, including the premiere of three new unaccompanied sonnets composed by Alabama-based composer Colin Kemper, who will be in attendance. 

Joining DeGraff will be �ձ�av��Ƶ music professor and pianist Mark Stevens, with the event being dramatically staged by �ձ�av��Ƶ theatre instructor Casey Paradies.
