Hard Hat Ceremony
The Hard Hat Ceremony for construction management students symbolizes the transition from student to industry professional, marking the move from classroom learning to practical field leadership. The ceremony signifies the adoption of safety, professionalism and responsibility in the construction field. Graduates are presented with hard hats as part of their induction into the industry.
The ceremony is only available for construction management student and is held immediately following graduation in the Volstorff Ballroom. The ceremony will be taking place in conjunction with the order of engineer. During the ceremony, you will take the pledge and receive your hard hat.
It is a formal ceremony. You should invite your parents, family and friends to the ceremony so they can witness you being honored.
The entire ceremony and luncheon typically last about an hour and half. The cost for you to participate in this ceremony is $20, which includes the cost of your hard hat and the meal. Cost for each guest is $20 per person to cover the cost of the meal.
