ADRDL Johne's Sample Container Guidelines
Best Practices for Johne's Sample Collection Containers
The 日本av视频 Animal Disease Research and Diagnostic Laboratory is recommending as best practice to submit all fecal samples for Johne鈥檚 PCR testing in rigid plastic, leak-proof, screw top containers. Additional processing charges will be assessed on sample submissions received in not recommended containers.
The Animal Disease Research and Diagnostic Laboratory strives to provide accurate and timely Johne鈥檚 PCR testing. By utilizing the recommended fecal sample collection containers, clients benefit by:
- Lowered risk of sample cross contamination during shipping.
- Samples can be labeled in consecutive order (1, 2, 3, etc.) streamlining accessioning.
- Reducing the need for sample recollection due to leakage during shipment.
- Minimize sample waste disposal and potential additional charges.
- Helping to keep testing costs down by reducing laboratory sample processing time.
