Next week, the �ձ�av��Ƶ College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences will host three field days in eastern South Dakota. Each one will feature �ձ�av��Ƶ researchers sharing their expertise on a variety of topics applicable to local farmers and community members.

All things agronomy will be the focus of the Northeast Research Farm Field Day next month. Everyone is invited to hear about the latest research from �ձ�av��Ƶ on Thursday, July 10, from 4 p.m. to dusk at 15710 455th Ave., South Shore.

All are invited to learn more about conservation efforts in the Coteau des Prairies region at the upcoming Oak Lake Field Station Field Day. Hear from �ձ�av��Ƶ experts on a variety of conservation topics on Thursday, July 10, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at 19862 483rd Ave., Astoria.

There will be something for everyone at the �ձ�av��Ƶ Southeast Research Farm Field Day, Tuesday, July 8, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at 29974 University Road, Beresford. Attendees will be able to choose from multiple farm tours, hear relevant research presentations, and the day will end with a Family Evening put on by �ձ�av��Ƶ Extension.

�ձ�av��Ƶ graduate student Michael Worfa is researching solutions to reduce nitrogen mustard toxicity.

Researchers in �ձ�av��Ƶ's Department of Dairy and Food Science are developing an innovative solution to defeat listeria and other foodborne pathogens.

Twenty years ago this fall, 13 nurses — a “Who’s Who” list of nursing intellects in the upper Midwest — gathered as a cohort to pursue a doctoral degree in nursing, the first to be offered in the Rushmore State.
