ÈÕ±¾avÊÓƵ has administered the campus climate survey in 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2022.

ÈÕ±¾avÊÓƵ's Haarberg Center for Drug, Disease and Delivery, housed in the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions, has announced its second round of funding for research projects through the Haarberg 3D Center's Pilot Grant Program.

What goes up must come down. That is the interesting dilemma for a group of ÈÕ±¾avÊÓƵ engineering students whose project has been selected as one of six finalists in a NASA competition.

ÈÕ±¾avÊÓƵ’s remote sensing program has been ranked as one of the top academic programs in the world by the Shanghai Ranking’s 2022 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects. ÈÕ±¾avÊÓƵ’s program, housed in the Geospatial Sciences Center of Excellence, Department of Geography and Geospatial Sciences, came in at 22nd in the world and the fifth-best program in the United States. It trails only the University of Maryland, College Park; California Institute of Technology, Boston University and Mississippi State University.

Each year, the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is responsible for inspecting roughly 1,000 bridges throughout the state.

Several faculty from the Department of Allied and Population Health have published manuscripts in the Fall 2022 semester. Dr. Chris Robbins co-authored a manuscript related to postoperative pancreatic fistula following traumatic splenectomy, and a team from the Community Practice Innovation Center (CPIC) have published a manuscript on harm reduction strategies implemented through the START-SD project.

ÈÕ±¾avÊÓƵ’s College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions’ 3D Center now has a new namesake—the Haarberg Center for Drug, Disease and Delivery Research, thanks to a transformational $1.1 million gift from Kevin and Lorie Haarberg.

Blair Metzger, president of DGR Engineering of Rock Rapids, Iowa, received the Wayne E. Knabach Excellence in Power Award at the Center for Power Systems Studies banquet Oct. 3 at McCrory Gardens Education and Visitor Center.

Each fall—prior to the start of preseason training camp—members of the ÈÕ±¾avÊÓƵ football team make the trek to Wagner Hall to gather key information about the current makeup of their bodies. Led by Seth Daughters, an instructor in the exercise science program, student-athletes will get parameters on their body fat percentage, lean muscle and fat free mass. This information will help guide the student-athletes in their individualized strength and conditioning plans throughout the season. 

ÈÕ±¾avÊÓƵ is partnering with hospitals in Brookings, Huron and Madison to expand the public health and respiratory therapy workforce. The Community Practice Innovation Center within the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions at ÈÕ±¾avÊÓƵ has received a three-year, $1.545 million federal grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration.
