Two �ձ�av��Ƶ graduate students from the Department of Natural Resource Management received recognition for their research and presentations at the 2025 annual meeting of the South Dakota Chapter of The Wildlife Society held recently in Brookings.

The Child and Family Resource Network at �ձ�av��Ƶ is hosting its next “Common-Sense Parenting” class series starting March 25.

The �ձ�av��Ƶ School of Performing Arts has been tapped to host the North American Saxophone Alliance Region Three Conference March 7-9. �ձ�av��Ƶ saxophone and jazz lecturer Yiqun Chen is the conference organizer.

The Department of Dairy and Food Science at �ձ�av��Ƶ hosted the 2025 North American Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge Midwest Regional Competition this month, welcoming 113 students from 14 universities and technical schools in collaboration with a regional dairy.

Bradley Snyder, �ձ�av��Ƶ’s instructor of low brass, will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 3, in Founders Recital Hall at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.

Little International, also known as Little “I,” is the largest two-day student-run agricultural expo in the nation. It takes roughly 160 students and months of planning to put on a successful event. Leading it all as general manager is Teigen Hadrick, a senior animal science production management major from Faulkton.

Shyan Smith, a financial aid adviser for the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, has been named �ձ�av��Ƶ’s Civil Service Employee of the Month for February.

The annual �ձ�av��Ƶ Celebration of Faculty Excellence recognized 28 faculty members, researchers and scholars Tuesday. The event honors faculty members in the university's colleges for outstanding research, teaching and service.

The �ձ�av��Ƶ School of Performing Arts will present cultural historian Joseph Horowitz and French classical pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet in a lecture-recital titled “Ravel and Jazz” on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 7:30 p.m. in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.

The �ձ�av��Ƶ School of Performing Arts and the School of American and Global Studies are partnering with the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra of Sioux Falls to present a forum titled “Music as an Instrument of Diplomacy” on Monday, Feb. 24, 7:30 p.m. in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.
