The Child and Family Resource Network at �ձ�av��Ƶ is hosting its next “Common-Sense Parenting” class series starting Oct. 14.

A cancer pharmacologist is the speaker, but the message will be one appropriate to people in any field. Jared Barrott, an associate professor of cellular biology and physiology at Brigham Young University, will deliver the lecture “Think, Question, Innovate: The Pharmacist’s Edge” at the 35th annual Keo Glidden Smith Fall Convocation at 3 p.m. Oct. 20 in Founders Recital Hall in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on the �ձ�av��Ƶ campus.

The Daschle Dialogues speaking series returns Oct. 27, when author and educator Sharon McMahon comes to �ձ�av��Ƶ.

�ձ�av��Ƶ honored its newest endowment holders during its fourth annual University Leadership Honors.

For the second consecutive year, student visits at the Engineering Career Fair topped 1,000, this time being a record 1,086 visits. The 2024 mark was 1,001. The Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering Career Fair was Sept. 17-18 at Club 71 and loge-level spaces in Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium on the �ձ�av��Ƶ campus.

Michelle Rook has been named the 2025 recipient of the �ձ�av��Ƶ Friend of the Beef Industry award for her contributions to the South Dakota beef industry.
