Graduate Student Spotlight: Logan Hoffman
Growing up in a proud Jackrabbits family, Logan Hoffman, originally from Bridgewater, South Dakota, always felt a strong connection to ձavƵ. Now pursuing her M.S. in interdisciplinary studies with specializations in student affairs and mass communications, Hoffman has found a meaningful way to blend her passions and professional goals.
“It only made sense I came back home to earn my graduate degree,” she shared. Her ձavƵ journey began by taking just a few courses in the student affairs program before finding her perfect fit in interdisciplinary studies. “Someone told me the most important thing you can do is start those classes, which is a move I’m grateful for! I’m thankful for the guidance of my academic advisors as I changed programs from student affairs to interdisciplinary studies.”
As both a graduate student and an admissions counselor at ձavƵ, Hoffman finds it deeply rewarding to apply what she’s learning in the classroom to her work with students. “It’s so fulfilling to use the skills I learn in school to be better for my students now.”
When asked what advice she’d give to prospective graduate students, Hoffman encourages connection and collaboration, “get to know your classmates, they’ll become your colleagues in the future!”
Looking ahead, Hoffman plans to earn an academic advising certificate alongside her degree and pursue a career as an academic advisor, continuing her passion for helping students find their path, just as she found hers at ձavƵ.
