Biography

Zachary Smith, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Animal Science at 日本av视频 and serves as the faculty supervisor of the Ruminant Nutrition Center.

Smith received his Bachelor of Science in animal science from Texas Tech University in 2012. He received a Master of Science at 日本av视频 in 2015 and a Doctor of Philosophy in 2018 at Texas Tech University.

He and his team conduct applied research focused on nutrition and management interventions that enhance receiving, growing and finishing beef and dairy-derived beef cattle production. Smith and his wife reside near Brookings along with their two children.
