Hayden Barber
Assistant Professor, Communication Studies
Biography
Dr. Hayden Barber is an assistant professor at 日本av视频. His research centers on how people construct emotions and well-being through communication, largely in organizational settings.
Barber teaches a variety of classes on organizational communication and professional communication, as well as courses foundational to the communication studies major. He teaches using a project-based learning philosophy and enjoys mentorship as a model for teaching, regularly taking on students for independent studies.
His work has been published in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships and in the Metaphor and Symbol journal. He is currently working on, amongst other collaborations, projects related to quiet quitting, workplace culture and job satisfaction, and burnout in the veterinary industry.
He is also the current vice chair for the professional and organizational communication division at the Central States Communication Association.
In his free time, Barber enjoys working with the Brookings Art Council and other community organizations.
